Giving Back to the Community

Since 1953, the Woodlake Rodeo has been the major event for the Woodlake Lions Club. This event has enabled the Woodlake Lions to donate thousands of dollars to support activities, events and programs in the community. The Woodlake Lions Club is proud to assist local organizations, schools and charities.

The Woodlake Lions provide substantial payments for facility use and cash each year to the community, while maintaining the grandstands, buildings, pens and other Rodeo facilities for use by other organizations.

Community organizations benefiting from the Woodlake Rodeo are:

  • Woodlake Chamber of Commerce
  • Woodlake Police Explorers
  • Woodlake Fire Department
  • Tulare County Sheriff’s Explorers
  • Woodlake Lady Lions
  • Woodlake Cemetery
  • Woodlake Archer’s Club
  • Woodlake Youth Center
  • Woodlake Schools
  • Woodlake Pop Warner
  • Woodlake Future Farmers of America
  • Six Annual Scholarships
  • France & Doris White Community Center in Woodlake
    • Benefiting the YMCA of Woodlake & Seniors
  • OneSight (Children’s Eyeglass Program)

The Club encourages other groups to enjoy the Rodeo excitement by participating in a number of ways such as working the concessions, selling programs, or parking cars.
